Jelena is a freelance fashion and technical designer with 8+ years of experience, specializing in womenswear, activewear, swimwear, sleepwear and loungewear. Based in Belgrade, Serbia, she works seamlessly with international brands and clients across the US, UK, Australia, Dubai and Germany, comfortable running Zoom fittings, technical calls and live feedback sessions across time zones.
Her background spans costume construction and tailoring, through early experience assisting on womenswear and menswear collections, giving her a strong technical foundation in construction, fit and patternmaking alongside her creative direction work.
Day to day, she leads creative direction, collection design, trend research and forecasting, moodboards, color palettes and fabric and trim development, and produces detailed technical flats, tech packs and fit comments, working directly with overseas factories throughout development and production.
She collaborated with SHEIN on womenswear design and capsule collections, developing fashion concepts and tech packs alongside their managers, pattern makers and factory teams.
She works solo on creative direction and design, all published work is hers, bringing in trusted technical, 3D and print collaborators as individual projects require.
