Accepting Introductions
WearLab is a Canadian apparel development and manufacturing studio that helps startup and emerging fashion brands move from concept to production-ready product. We work with founders who are serious about launching properly, usually first-time brand owners with a strong idea but no development or production infrastructure of their own. Our clients come to us for a clear path from sketch to sample to bulk, with honest pricing, real timelines, and none of the guesswork that first-time founders normally have to figure out alone. The outcome we deliver is a finished, sellable product line that a founder can confidently take to market, with the tech packs, patterns, and manufacturing relationships in place to scale.
We do the vetting on both sides, then set up an introduction built to last. Each partner has been personally reviewed by the Entreupia team and approved based on expertise, delivery quality, and long-term potential.
Maya Omrani is the Founder and Creative Director of WearLab Inc., a Vancouver-based apparel design and production studio specializing in local manufacturing and end-to-end product development for emerging fashion brands. Her career spans technical design, pattern making, and production management across both large-scale and specialty apparel environments.
Maya began her technical design career at Lululemon, where she supported women's seamless knit creative design and collaborated with the men's product development team. She went on to work as a designer at Sophiegrace, focusing on comfortable and stylish workwear tailored for women. Building on that foundation, Maya founded her own activewear brand, MONHNNY., where she managed everything from concept through to manufacturing, an experience that directly shaped how WearLab now serves founders in the same position.
Recognizing that emerging fashion founders were being turned away by traditional factories because their order sizes were too small, or led into expensive missteps by consultants who did not understand production, Maya built WearLab to be the missing piece. Based in Burnaby, British Columbia, WearLab operates an in-house studio for pattern making, sampling, and small production runs in Canada, and manages offshore production through a network of vetted factory partners for founders ready to scale.
Maya holds a Bachelor of Fashion Design and Technology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University (2017). She serves on the BC Apparel and Gear Association (BCAG), advocating for local Canadian manufacturing and sustainable production practices. Under her leadership, WearLab has grown into a team serving 100+ brands across Canada, the United States, and the Middle East, working across categories from activewear and streetwear to contemporary womenswear and modest fashion.
The studio operates on the belief that a 100-unit first run deserves the same care as a 10,000-unit factory order, and that founders should be walked through the parts of manufacturing they were never taught: fabric MOQs, sample stages, tech pack anatomy, production timelines, quality control, and landed cost. WearLab's tagline, "From concept to creation," reflects that philosophy in practice.
